VB/SQL Developer
Location: Kirkland and Redmond, WA
Position Description:
Primary tasks will be writing code in VB6/VB.net as well as creating SQL tables, stored procedures, triggers and creation/migration scripts. The position is full time, office hours.
Required:
- Full technical knowledge of object oriented programming
- Ability to architect, design, customize code, and debug software systems
- Ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
- Ability to manage development and maintenance of software applications dealing with client/server based systems and web-based applications
- Ability to program with Microsoft technologies, specifically MS SQL Server 2000, MS Access, Visual Basic 6, MS Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#), HTML, ASP and FoxPro
- Ability to program Pocket PC and PalmOS handheld devices
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team setting with diverse group of people
- Non-smoker
Recommended:
- Microsoft certifications
Required Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in database analysis, programming and design showing progressive level of responsibility
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Microsoft technologies, specifically MS SQL Server 2000, MS Access, Visual Basic 6, MS Visual Studio .NET (VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#), HTML, ASP, FoxPro, and Pocket PC programming
Recommended Experience:
- Experience with inventory control systems, accounting systems, and/or shipping systems
- Experience with and knowledge of wide variety of computer equipment
